KHHRA Leadership Development Opportunity
KHHRA is proud to invest in the growth and development of our members by sponsoring one KHHRA member annually to attend the Kansas Hospital Association Leadership Institute.
$2,000 Scholarship Opportunity
Each year, KHHRA awards a $2,000 scholarship to support a member’s participation in this highly respected leadership program.
About the Leadership Institute
The Kansas Hospital Association Leadership Institute is designed to strengthen and promote the leadership capacity of hospital employees across Kansas. This program focuses on developing the personal skills and abilities needed to drive positive change and innovation within healthcare organizations.
Program Structure
Participants will complete six training courses held throughout the summer (June, August, and September), including:

In-person learning sessions
-
Conference calls and webinars between sessions
-
Attendance at the KHA Annual Convention and Trade Show
-
A formal graduation ceremony
Enrollment is limited to 30 participants, allowing for meaningful networking, collaboration, and small group interaction.

KHHRA Academic Scholarship ($1,000)
The KHHRA Scholarship is designed to promote and encourage academic preparation and excellence in the field of healthcare human resources.
Award Details

$500 per semester
-
Maximum of $1,000 per academic year (August–July)
-
Funds are paid directly to the accredited college or university
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
-
Be a student or current practitioner enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in human resources
-
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
-
Be a KHHRA member or be recommended by a current KHHRA member
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:

Completed application form
-
Cover letter outlining academic accomplishments and career goals
-
Most recent high school or college transcript
-
Recommendation form completed by a current KHHRA member
(Not required if the applicant is a KHHRA member)
