We ARE KHHRA

It is my pleasure to welcome the Kansas Healthcare Human Resources Association website. As a past president of the association, I can attest to the many benefits of membership to this group. If you have already made the decision to become a member of our association, welcome aboard!
I would like to let you know a few of the many things that make KHHRA a great group. Perhaps the best part is the developing of relationships that gives us all the confidence of having people we can lean on for support, and resources we can turn to when we are in need. If you were to ask any current member I am certain they would respond that the networking opportunities rank very high or near the top of the list. Of course, your organization will also benefit from your association within KHHRA as we learn and grow together as HR professionals.
With the combination of our list-serve, website, and our educational sessions, KHHRA is one of the most active allied groups of the Kansas Hospital Association. Additionally, our organization is consistently one of the highest awarded chapters affiliated with the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Association. It is the active involvement of the members that make this happen. Please be sure to take browse this website to see what we have to offer. Among the wealth of information on the website, you will find shortcuts to a variety of helpful information such as Bylaws, membership, newsletters etc.
When you join KHHRA you receive an invitation from Steve Poage to join the KHHRA List Serve. If not you can submit a request to join from the website. The List-Serve is a very powerful tool that the association has to offer. If you have not yet become a member of the list serve, I encourage you to do so. If you need assistance with the setup, please don’t hesitate to contact Steve at (785) 233-7436 or [email protected].
KHHRA holds an annual 2-day spring conference in April which is always beneficial and educational with the potential to earn CEU’s. First-time attendees can attend free of charge. You will have the opportunity to attend district meetings in your area throughout the summer, and of course be a part of the KHA Annual Convention in the fall where KHHRA hosts a luncheon and educational session.
There are six districts that make up the KHHRA membership. Your hospital's location will determine which district you are in. Each district has an experienced member of KHHRA as a director and is very knowledgeable in many areas. In addition, I am always available to help you out whenever the need arises.
By now you can tell how proud I am of KHHRA. We have an incredible human resource association for healthcare HR leaders in the state of Kansas. It is a privilege to be part of such an extraordinary group, and we are very pleased to have you join us.
Ken Brown
KHHRA Past President
